Founded Journeys by the Book in 2017 and serves clients across the globe. Through her travel platform she coordinates over 500 trips on average every year. She sold more than $1 million in travel nearly every year for the past 15 years. She has been recognized as one of the most influential travel advisors in North America by industry suppliers.
Barbara has been a travel advisor since 1989. She received her certificate of travel and tourism from the Travel Education Center. She is a member of ASTA, American Society of Travel Advisors. Journeys by the Book, LLC is an affiliate of GTC, Global Travel Collection, the world’s largest collection of international luxury travel agencies, and part of the Virtuoso travel consortium, the leading global network of agencies specializing in luxury and experiential travel.
Her knowledge of classic and contemporary works allows her to expertly connect the dots between authors, their creative environments, and the places that inspired them. Barbara reads an average of 50 books per year. Her favorite genres are historical fiction, mystery/thriller, literary fiction, and memoir.
